When you need to make that all-important phone call ten minutes before your flight, the worst thing in the world is a dead cell battery and no spare change. Good thing Denver International Airport now offers phone calls on the house.
A new service called RMT Free Phone lets passengers make local and national calls free of charge, from over 200 phones installed throughout the Jeppensen Terminal and all three concourses. Even international calls are free for the first 10 minutes; $0.25 per minute thereafter.
RMT Free Phone is a three-way partnership between the airport authorities at Denver, RMES Communications, and the marketing agency Clear Channel Airports. The free phone calls are paid for with advertising. You’ll hear a 15 second commercial before your line is connected, and the phone units are fitted out with 17-inch LCD screens that display more commercials while you talk.
Not a bad deal if you ask us.
