Sun Country has announced its winter travel travel schedule for 2012-2013, with some new domestic and international services commencing this year.
From December, the Minnesota-based airline will fly nonstop to Tampa, Florida (four times per week) and Huatulco, Mexico (every Saturday). These are seasonal services, and will only run during the winter and spring.
Sun Country is offering cheap “introductory fares” on these new routes, but only if you book this week. Roundtrip flights to Tampa start from $340 return, and Huatulco from $610. Airfares are subject to availability and must be purchased by May 25.
Nonstop services to Seattle and Boston have also been added to the Sun Country network, and will be available year-round.
The so-called “Hometown Airline” is based at Minneapolis-St. Paul International airport, and flies to over 170 destinations in the US, Central America and the Caribbean. Sun Country targets the winter vacation demographic, as the name suggests, and many of its flights are only available during the colder months of the year. You can see a full list of routes on the airline’s website.
