If you’re going to be hopping into a taxi in Beijing anytime soon, be sure you know the Chinese phrase for “Please don’t take Highway 110″.  That’s where thousands of motorists are currently in the middle of a ten day traffic jam.  Thanks to an ill-conceived (to say the least) construction project, a 60 mile stretch is completely gridlocked.  At some points, cars are only moving about a third of a mile per day!

Suddenly, Los Angeles traffic doesn’t sound so bad.

Was in Los Angelos 1 and half years ago, the traffic was like the Lion’ Bridge on route to North Vancouver, B.C., Canada. Slow and packed each day in the morning commute to work and back..I live outside that, couldn’t handle that each day to work. Like the rural parts of cities better, having access to the city is goo though..have to be in it once in while.

  2. How do those people eat and drink? Do people just leave their cars there and walk to the nearest town for a bite?
