It’s not the kind of destination where you’ll be dancing until the sun comes up, but if laid back bohemianism floats your boat, you might just fall in love with Tulum.

Not all brides are up for a dancing-on-tables, karaoke all night, hit the strip club rager. We love San Francisco for so many reasons – not least of which are the iconic views, delicious restaurants, crowd-pleasing sights (Lombard Street, Pier 39 and the Embarcadero) and fabulous neighborhoods (the Mission, the Castro, The Haight and the Marina, to name just a few). Take her to an amazing dinner, put on a little black dress and go on a classic pub crawl. After, if she’s feeling a little frisky there’s no shortage of late night spots to get herself (and all of you) into a little trouble!

Maybe your bride likes to have her feet in both worlds – she loves nature and getting into the great outdoors but also likes to cut loose with friends, have a few drinks and maybe hit the slots! If this sounds like your girl, you should check out Lake Tahoe. In the summertime, you can be out on the lake on a houseboat soaking in the sun and the stunning scenery. In the winter, you’ll want to hit the slopes and shred. Either way, you’ll have a beer in hand or some après ski libations to keep you company. And after dark, hit the casinos for a little fun. Sin City is kind of a no brainer. Every option is on the table. The city is basically party central, and as long as you don’t blow your whole budget at the tables it’s pretty reasonable to hang. And we’re talking about big style, big shopping, big price tag. For the kind of party that has no upper limit, you just can’t beat New York. The city that boasts some of the most extravagant shopping, real estate and restaurants is the place to go for a “members only” style soiree. Take your crew to the most exclusive places and know that her bachelorette party dreams came true in the city that never sleeps.

Now, if you’ve got a bride and girlfriends in the need of some decompression) and who isn’t these days?) may we suggest taking your ladies on a spa vacay to Mii Amo Destination Spa in Sedona, Arizona? One of our favorite cities for brides on a budget is Washington, D.C. 95% of the best sights are 100% free – and the city is virtually run by the under 30 set. Therefore, happy hours are on point and brunch is a favorite local pastime. D.C. is not a city with a ton of nightclubs – if that’s your thing check San Francisco, Vegas or Atlanta – but for laid-back pubs and wine bars, the capitol will not disappoint!
Low Key & Fab Frida
Portland, Oregon
The operative word here is low key. Sure, Portland prides itself on putting the q- in quirk, but the general vibe is “live and let live,” and chill. You’ll find oddities like Voodoo Doughnuts to geek out over, one of the world’s best used bookstores to wander through (Powells), a generally delicious and affordable food scene, and some fun live music venues to catch the latest hipster band. For the epitome of the Portland experience, stay at a restored elementary school-turned hotel). Have a drink in the “Detention Bar” or the “Cypress Room.”
