Did you forget to book your Labor Day plans this year? Don’t give it a second thought. There are still some great deals available for the long weekend. Take our advice and you’ll be lounging poolside or exploring a new town in no time.
Las Vegas, Nevada
Hit the tables, hang by the pool, dine at some world-class restaurants, see an amazing concert or two. In Sin City you can do all of these activities and still not scratch the surface of all the city has to offer. And most hotels boast resort-style amenities at budget prices. We’re all in, Vegas!
New Orleans, Louisiana
There may not be a more perfect city to visit while celebrating the traditional end of summer than the Big Easy. The locals are always ready to raise a glass, the jazz is world-class and the food is decadent and delicious.
Napa & Sonoma, California
A late summer wine tour sound like fun but a little pricey? Well, that doesn’t have to be the case for Labor Day this year. Take an inexpensive flight into San Francisco or Oakland, then hit up some of the local wineries that offer complimentary tastings like Merry Edwards, Sunce Winery, and Carol Shelton.
This little town just an hour from Puerto Vallarta is having a major moment. Sure it first got attention for serving as the backdrop to Bachelor in Paradise, but more than that, it gives off casual and romantic beach bum vibes without the price tag of some of the more established resort towns. It’s a fun and funky, dare we say perfect place for a long weekend.
For a low-key, low stakes sort of cool Labor Day weekend, you could do a lot worse than Nashville. Just head straight from the airport, grab some BBQ and mosey over to lower Broad Street where you can partake in the musical bonanza that is Nashville – lose yourself in the honkytonks and dive bars playing the blues all weekend long.
