It’s been our pleasure to bring you first-in-industry installment payments that let you Fly Now and Pay Later.

We’re happy to report that CheapAir.com’s monthly payment option (which lets you pay over 3, 6 or 12 months*) has been well received. The top 10 domestic destinations you’ve traveled to with monthly payments:

Top Domestic Destinations

  1. Miami / Ft. Lauderdale, FL
  2. Orlando, FL
  3. Las Vegas, NV
  4. New York, NY
  5. Los Angeles, CA
  6. Chicago, IL
  7. Atlanta, GA
  8. Dallas / Ft. Worth, TX
  9. Seattle, WA
  10. Denver, CO

On average, travelers purchased those domestic flights 47 days in advance, or right around 1.5 months before the date of departure. The top domestic destinations correlate closely with our top selling domestic markets overall.

Travelers’ favorite international destinations purchased with monthly payments since the launch:

Top International Destinations

  1. San Juan, Puerto Rico
  2. Cancun, Mexico
  3. Montego Bay, Jamaica

To buy a flight with monthly payments, simply choose “monthly payments” at checkout. You’ll be redirected to our lending partner, Affirm, where you’ll go through a real-time approval that takes just a few minutes. You provide your full name, mobile number, email address, date of birth, and the last four digits of your social security number. You then find out if you qualify for monthly payments and can quickly complete your flight purchase!

For purchases of $100.00 or more, you’ll generally see three loan term options (3, 6, or 12 months), exactly how much your monthly payment will be under each option, and your interest rate (*rates from 10-30% APR based on creditworthiness). 8. Hi I will like to buy a ticket from Pereira Colombia to Nyc. Can I buy it with the monthly pay? Even with bad credit?

    1. Hi Maria, we partner with a company called Affirm that manages the monthly payment option for us. You do have to have a US mailing address and a mobile phone number. The credit check is a “soft” credit check but you’d have to go through the approval process to find out if you are eligible.
