If you’re flying on one of United’s new international business class flights, and passing through Newark International Airport, there’s a new luxe lounge that just opened for your comfort and convenience.
Passengers flying “Polaris” class, as well as first and business class customers booked on any of United’s Star Alliance partners can take advantage of the more upscale amenities in the 27,000 square foot lounge.
Here’s a few of the extra perks you can expect in the brand new lounge:
- 10 day beds furnished with Saks 5th Avenue bedding
- Craft cocktails
- An enhanced, elegant a la carte menu (braised lamb, polenta fries)
- High-end buffet including charcuterie and DIY bagel bar
- Showers with rainfall shower heads and heated floors
- Personal valet service (including laundry steaming)
- 455 seats/450 USB ports
- 500+ power outlets
- Four private phone booths
United is the only airline to offer full service dining to business class guests in their lounges (an amenity reserved for First Class customers on other airlines).
Polaris flights feature pod seating. United has also announced that some Polaris flights may include complimentary car service in a BMW 7-Series sedan, though specifics have yet to be determined.
The new lounge joins two other Polaris lounges already in operation – one at San Francisco International and the other at Chicago O’Hare. Lounges in Los Angeles (LAX) and Houston will also be coming online in 2018. Keep in mind, you’re only eligible if you’re flying international. Domestic flights do not qualify.
You can book Polaris flights (along with many other domestic and international business and first class flights) on CheapAir.com. Our handy search tool breaks out each class of service available for every flight.
