A few tips for scoring a home run on your World Series airfare from any city:

  • Flexibility with your departure times and days of travel last minute can make a big difference on the deals available.
  • Are you willing to mix and match airlines on your outbound and return flights? Sometimes this can shave dollars off your itinerary.
  • Look into alternative airports. Can you fly into Midway instead of O’Hare? Can you depart out of Burbank instead of LAX? These small considerations can help you save.
  • Avoid flying on Thursdays and Sundays (typically the two most expensive days of the week).

    1. Hi Tyler, I see a flight operated by American for $266 into LAX from Tyler that leaves in the evening and gets you in after 10pm. It requires a 1.5 hour layover in Dallas on the outbound and the return is an early morning flight that has another 1.5 hour layover in Dallas and gets you into Tyler at around 1:30pm.
