Will I be charged to check bags?

Many airlines now charge fees for checked baggage upon arrival at the airport. These fees are separate from your ticket cost and are due at check-in or prior to arrival on the airline’s website. Below are links to baggage charts listing the major airlines and their applicable fees based on class of service. Please note, these fees are subject to change and do change frequently. When you search for flights on, we’ll show you the baggage fees each airline charges. Just click on the “Details” of the fare class to view the baggage fees. Baggage fees can vary based on airline, route, fare class, and whether you are enrolled as a frequent traveler.

Carry-On Baggage:

On most airlines passengers are allowed to bring one (1) carry-on bag, plus one (1) additional personal item such as a purse, briefcase or laptop.

This limit applies to travelers boarding all flights departing from the U.S. airports for both domestic and international destinations.  The maximum size carry-on bag for most airlines is 45 linear inches (the total of the height, width, and depth of the bag.)  Anything larger must be checked.

Oversize/Overweight Bags:

Please be advised, airlines can also charge fees if the baggage is ‘oversized’. Oversized luggage is defined as any bag over 50 lbs. and larger than 62 linear inches (height x length x width).

*Excess baggage Embargo Rules may apply. Please see details by viewing the baggage policy on airlines official website.
