Bonnaroo Music + Arts Festival
June 8-11, 2017
Manchester, TN
An always eclectic, indie lineup and a commitment to sustainability are the hallmark of the laid-back Bonnaroo Festival. Most attendees camp in the countryside (as you do), but nearby hotels also offer shuttles.
Airfare: Airports closest to Manchester are Nashville (60 miles away) or Chattanooga (40 miles away). LAX to Chattanooga flights (connecting) on American are around $650 as of this publication date. Nonstop flights from New York are still hovering around $300 on United.
U.S. Open

Erin Hills, WI
Wanna blow dad’s mind this June? How about taking him to the U.S. Open for Father’s Day? The 2nd of the Majors in the United States is known for its difficult courses and challenging scoring. Erin Hills is about a 40-minute drive from downtown Milwaukee.
Airfare: Los Angeles to Milwaukee flights are around $500 on Frontier. Nonstop Boston to Milwaukee are pricing at just over $200 on Delta roundtrip.

San Francisco Pride

Of all the Pride Festivals, San Francisco is arguably the biggest and (dare we say it?) most fun! Come for the joie de vivre, to rub shoulders with locals, and take in the legendary parade.
Airfare: The price is right so there’s no excuse to miss the party, right? Flights from Los Angeles to SFO are still as low as $117 on United. Seattle to SFO on United also has a nice $217 fare. You can also catch a flight from New York (JFK) on JetBlue or Newark on Virgin America for under $400.
